About this course

The aim of this course is to enable all candidates to take charge of the situation when a person is injured or becomes ill – until more appropriate assistance arrives. 

The course is a mixture of theoretical and practical elements.

• Legislation – including Health & Safety at Work Act 
• Accident Recording and RIDDOR 
• First Aid Kits 
• Prioritising Casualties 
• CPR 
• Primary/Secondary Assessment 
• Resuscitation 
• Recovery Position 
• Basic Life Support 
• Choking 
• Shock 
• Bleeding
