- Understand the principles of making safeguarding personal
- Understand what Safeguarding is, and your role in relation to safeguarding adults
- Be able to recognise an adult at risk of abuse, and take action as appropriate to your role
- Know who to report concerns to, and how to maintain confidentiality
- Understand the importance of dignity and respect when working with individuals
- Have knowledge of the legislation that supports adult safeguarding processes
